About the Gaiscioch Extra Life Charity Event Livestream
Gaiscioch is a community built on fellowship — the kind that starts in-game and carries into real life. We believe the most valuable things we earn are the relationships and memories we make along the way, and we try to turn that spirit into something that helps others, too.
In 2011, Gaiscioch grew beyond being “just a guild.” With over 1,500 new members in a single year, we realized our shared passion for gaming could become a force for good. Since then, we’ve kept that momentum going with annual charity efforts, community celebrations, and even real-world meetups like our long-running pub night at PAX in Seattle.
Our community is largely made up of adults ages 35–55 — people with big hearts, busy lives, and a strong desire to show up when it matters. In our very first Extra Life year, we ranked 11th worldwide as a Top 15 Contributor and raised $8,875.01 for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals — outpacing teams from major names like Activision, Treyarch, Paragon Studios, and Wizards of the Coast. That was the spark that turned into a tradition.
Today, Gaiscioch proudly supports the Extra Life Charity Event every year by rallying the community for 24 hours or more of epic gaming, good laughs, and good causes. The livestream is broadcast on Twitch and YouTube and features a wide mix of cooperative games — with the community coming together to help give kids and families a brighter tomorrow.

The Gaiscioch began in 2001 as a social gaming community focused on making epic memories and lasting friendships. Since their inception they've run massive public community events in Dark Age of Camelot, Warhammer Online, RIFT, Guild Wars 2, and Elder Scrolls Online. Over the course of their history they have launched 5 chapters, a gaming magazine, a full 7-day livestream calendar and multiple athletic teams.
